Dr. Lloyd grew up in Draper and has called Utah his home for most of his life. He graduated from Alta High School and went on a church service mission to Mongolia. Dr. Lloyd quickly embraced the culture of Mongolia, and it became a second home to him. He later met his wife there! He and his wife, Summer, have two amazing children, and they continue to speak Mongolian primarily in the home.
Dr. Lloyd graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. He always knew that he wanted to be involved in healthcare in some fashion, and the more he shadowed and immersed himself in the field, the more he knew that dentistry satisfied his desire to work intricately with his hands and maintain patient relationships for life.
Dr. Lloyd proceeded to study dentistry at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. During his dental studies, he took a unique liking to endodontics and still considers all manner of root canals and endodontic procedures his favorite to provide for patients. He takes great pride in calming patients’ fears and surprising them with how painless and manageable a notoriously dreaded procedure like a root canal can be.
When Dr. Lloyd isn’t in the office, he can be found relaxing with his family and engaging in a myriad of hobbies ranging from playing the piano, 3D printing, chilling with the family cats, and getting lost in the adventurous worlds of one of his favorite video games.
